THE PAC JAC IS BACK

THE PAC JAC IS BACK

Maine Road wasn’t just a stadium. For two nights in ‘96, it was everything.

Oasis were at their peak. Bigger than Britpop, bigger than the charts, bigger than the moment itself. This was their homecoming—the one that meant more than the record sales and the magazine covers. 80,000 people, rain in the air, with nothing to prove.

Noel Gallagher stepped out in a Pac Jac. Not a stylist’s pick, not an overthought decision—just a jacket that did exactly what it needed to do. Waterproof, lightweight, striking on stage, and with just enough movement for the occasional guitar solo.

As history was being written in the crowd, so was a jacket’s legacy. “Someone was saying, ‘You can’t play outdoors in Manchester in April, it’ll rain!’” Noel later recalled. “I was like, ‘It f***ing rains in August! What’s the difference?’” The answer was simple… “wear a coat.”

BACK BY PUBLIC DEMAND

Some things you let go of. Some things you don’t. The Pac Jac wasn’t just worn at Maine Road—it became part of the moment. Fans remember what Gallagher played, what he said, what he wore. A lightweight, water-resistant anorak, built for Manchester weather, stadium energy, and the kind of night you don’t forget.

The Forest Green/Navy Pac Jac—one of the most sought-after colourways—has proved elusive for many. Collectors have chased it. Vintage resellers have held onto it. Now, after determined demand, it finally returns.

The True Red/Dove edition—the other half of the story—is back too. For those who missed it the last time, an opportunity for absolution. Gallagher didn’t wear the jacket to make a statement—it became one anyway. As Vogue put it, “With his devil-may-care attitude, the Britpop star’s influence went beyond the music, and his distinctive personal style filtered down to the wardrobes of legions of fans.”

THE PAC JAC REMIXED

Not every Pac Jac is built for the downpour. Some are made for everything else. The Pac Jac Sweat Hoodie takes the original archive silhouette and remixes it for a different kind of wear.

Designed for layering rather than packing away, it offers the same relaxed fit, reworked in pure cotton. Signature contrast overstitching stays true to the details that made the original an icon, while the Vanilla Ice colourway sets the tone for the season ahead.
