New season silhouette: the Aubrey overalls

SS20 sees a brand new silhouette added to our womenswear range – the Aubrey overalls. Made in a soft touch cotton twill, the new Penfield one-piece was inspired by a group of great female explorers, Catherine Robbins, Hilda Kurth, and Kathleen Norris. Nicknamed ‘The Three Musketeers’, the hikers made history in 1927 when they became the first women to complete ‘The Long Trail’, the oldest long distance hiking trail in the United States. Located in Vermont, which is known for its densely forested landscape, the women walked 280 miles in 27 days, starting at the Massachusetts-Vermont state line and finishing at the Canadian border. As expected, they carried only the essentials.

With this in mind, and updated for the present day, the Penfield Aubrey features an adjustable hiking strap belt detail, and utility pockets at both the chest and leg. Whether you’re planning a similar adventure this summer or sticking to a more metropolitan setting, the Aubrey will make sure you're always ready.
